Uses for our rare earth block magnets:

Neodymium Block or rectangular magnets like this N35 Grade example are often used as a component in magnetic clamps, knife and tool holders and magnetic door latches. The centre hole surfaces help them to bond securely with other materials. Magnets used for holding applications usually incur a considerable amount of impact during constant attachment or closure, so a protective steel case is often used to take the brunt of the impact and overcome possible damage to the magnet from repeated use.
Steel u-shaped channel with a similar width and slightly higher height dimension to the magnetic blocks within is often used for this task. The bar magnet can be permanently glued into position inside the protective channel. Placing multiple block magnets end to end inside a channel can increase the contact area and holding capacity of assemblies such as tool holders and magnetic sweepers. These magnetic storage and cleaning tools are able to cover broader areas and remove hazardous metal swarf from workshop floors and benchtops more efficiently.
